This is my chair plan tomorrow. Should be able to do it all unless a tool breaks or something:

- Smooth and shape seat sides
- Make pretty (mostly sticks and legs at this point)
- 8 leg wedges
- 12 stretcher wedges
- 8 arm wedges
- Glue up: this may be a stretch, but I am pretty sure I can start this before 4pm

Glue up will be in two stages, so if I am low on time or something I can always stop after the undercarriage is glued up, but I see no reason to stop there. #woodworking

Top of seat and all sides shaped and smoothed with Shinto and then card scraper. I need to get a curved scraper and really a travisher before I do this again. There are parts of the seat that are not smooth enough but without specialized tools there is no way I can get there. #woodworking
Working on pre-assembly “Make Pretty” which mostly just means using the scraper on the sticks, stretchers, and legs. I’ll do another, final round, after assembly, which will likely involve a little bit more scraping and a lot of sanding. #woodworking
Everything scraped smooth. Pencil marks and splashes of my own self sacrifice scraped off. Time to make some wedges! #woodworking
Ok, wedges made. First round of make pretty done. Test fit the tricky parts. Wish me luck. 🫡 #woodworking
Starting round 2 #woodworking
The violence is complete. #woodworking
@frew Looking great! This is for your other kid, right?
@jappel that’s right. He doesn’t care at all about it but his ikea chair is failing so he’s getting it either way haha
