Donald Trump, in his reworked acceptance speech at tonight's RNC here in Milwaukee, to say the "discord and division" in this nation must be healed.
Trump, in his acceptance speech tonight here in Milwaukee is to say that immediately after the assassination attempt "I felt very safe because I had God on my side...I stand with you in this arena only because the grace of Almighty God."
"The assassin's bullet came within a quarter an inch of taking my life," says Trump.
"I felt something hit me really, really hard on my right ear," recalls Trump. "I immediately knew it was very serious -- we were under attack."
Most in the crowd at the his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania "thought I was dead" but "they didn't want to leave me," says Trump.
"I'm not supposed to be here tonight," adds Trump. "I stand before you in this arena only because of the grace of Almighty God."
"Once my clenched fist went up...the crowd realized I was OK and roared with pride for our country," says Trump.
