@osnews the user space drivers are still proprietary though.

This is an important, but very small, improvement, until the drivers are part of mesa: Friends don't let friends buy Nvidia! 😄

@hp @osnews This is what I thought, thanks for mentioning it! Looking forward to an AMD gpu in my future.

As a current nvidia user that still wants to use my cards for projects in the future, happy to hear the news, but there's still a ways to go!

@crocodisle @osnews it really is a lot nicer to just install your OS and have everything just work! Not to mention not having to worry that the Nvidia drivers make your system unbootable after an update!

And you're less likely to get punished by Nvidia for trying something they didn't think about!
