Boomer parents are so entitled they think they can do anything just because they are your parent. A parents job is to make you feel safe and secure, if they can't do that then they don't owe you jack shit no matter what they may or may not have not done in the past. Parents shouldn't hold over your head that just because they are your parent they can make your life hell.

I had to kick both of my parents out of my life due to this entitled behavior.

oh and to add insult to injury, my dad is mentally ill (bipolar disorder untreated for years) and has delusions and a severe lack of accountability and responsibility. Said the most sexist and misogynist things so one of my best friends who happened to work for him shortly, and then drove up $10K on his business card and is accusing me of "identity theft" when all charges I made were legitimate business purchases, many of which he approved of against my advice.

The simple fact is my grandparents failed to get him the mental help he needed as they were more worried about the stigma of him being mentally ill than the stigma he has created from his manic episodes. He's in his 60's and still living with his parents.

My grandparents are buying into his delusions and it's made me have to cut them off as well.
