Decided to check where it's possible to watch Oshi no Ko legally

Crunchyroll: This series isn't listed

Hidive: No series are listed at all. The front page just says "No content available". what

Amazon (🤮) Prime Video: This series is listed, but it says it's not available in my country (at least they're upfront about it)

Possible other streaming sites?: I have no idea how to find out if there are any. I didn't see any on Google, at least

Cool. It's great how piracy is a solved problem

@JosJuice it's funny to me that this is the series you decided to try this with, because it's also the show where the [Starsugen] fansubs for it are some of the highest effort sub work I've seen since GJM's Kaguya

@allynfolksjr Hulu doesn't exist here. Thanks for that website though, I wasn't aware of it. It says "【Oshi No Ko】 is not available for streaming", so I guess there really is no legal way to watch it in Sweden
@JosJuice is the series available for purchase instead? Much more expensive tho probably..
@avghelper For season 1 I'm sure it's possible to import a Blu-Ray from somewhere, but there's nothing for the currently airing season 2

@JosJuice rip.

fwiw, Hidive shows the series for me in the US, and seems to play just fine here. It also seems to work for me on a VPN into Sweden, but maybe they know my account is from the US and so it plays?

who ever decided that geographic blocks on media was a good idea anyway? all these dances just to be able to pay to watch a show are so silly

@JosJuice same here, I found myself in this situation several times even with mega-famous old series that you'd expect to find easily (Saint Seiya anybody!?). In the end torrenting stuff means you usually get better quality and better audio/subs. I know I could get around some (but not all) of the geoblocking with a VPN, but I'm not gonna pay for both the VPN and the streaming service for a miserable experience.
@JosJuice @hikari Plus they give you better subs too
