Going the Indie Web Way

I want the Indie Web that empowers individuals to own their online presence, data, and content with decentralized web tools and personal websites

S David Prince

@Sdavidprince Hey! Just read your piece and that's awesome you discovered the IndieWeb and that has got you pumped about doing more on your site, I hope you do!

Like many who have come before you (including myself), you've put too much weight on some of the (very optional) technical traits of the IndieWeb, and less so on the human aspect. What makes a site an “IndieWeb" site, is that it’s your domain, owned by you, with content published by you. Nothing more.

@shellsharks That's how my enthusiasm works. I get your point and I always emphasize that. The fact that you have control of your own site would want you to have all features at least you won't want to miss out on something you want on your site. It becomes frustrating when one can't get some technical things done . I still think it's a flaw of the web to be techy -at least know html/md/css. Thanks for reminding that all that shouldn't push me off the track of more human stuffs and expression 😌
