@VeroniqueB99 There was a tiny twinge of hurt when I found out my grandma left us kids NOTHING.
but reality immediately asserted itself to remind me that her oldest daughter needed lots of help, and my dad left us in a good place, and that aunt put in DECADES of work to ensure she could die at home.
I think my aunt and cousins were shocked when I was like, no that's fine, let me know when you're ready to buy out my share of the house. Whenever. It's fine. What, I'ma move to San Rafael??
@VeroniqueB99 ? What is that emoji supposed to convey here?
My dad's dying wish was that whatever happened, he didn't want anyone to be embroiled in any lawsuits on his behalf. He died young but he knew the surgery was risky.
So we've all carried his wishes forward since. What is there to fight about? People have reasons. You feel your private feelings and move along.
welcome to the English boarding school system and our aristocracy.
