Yemeni Houthis attacked two tankers carrying Russian cargo. The tanker CHIOS LION, carrying crude oil from Tuapse, was damaged by drones. The tanker BENTLEY I, heading to Shanghai from Taman, was attacked by surface boats and an unmanned vessel, and may have been hit by a ballistic missile.
@noelreports what? Why?
@N3r0 @noelreports They’re under Liberian and Panamanian flags, respectively, so the rebels don’t know they’re carrying cargo for aligned governments.

@noelreports My guess would be, that in order to circumvent sanctions, russians hid ownership so well, that Houtis got confused too 😀

@WashingtonIrving @noelreports what makes it Russian oil is just that is where they last loaded.

The vessels are not Russian flagged or operated as best as I can tell.
