Just a thought: How about we stop treating Trump like a former President and instead treat him as the enormous threat to our national security and democracy that he truly is? — And most importantly, under no damn circumstances should we “soften our tone” toward this traitor!

@Strandjunker

I have a solution. It's called the Electoral College.

#PackSwingStates or democracy dies.

@BlueWall
Uh, the stupid electoral college is why he was forced on us in the first place after Hillary beat him by 3 million votes...

@BluesHarp

And it might happen again. The only State Electors in play are in Pennsylvania Wisconsin Michigan Arizona

Move to one and help out

@BlueWall
LOL. I like it here in Colorado. I'm not going to pack up and move to some useless red state simply to further the interests of a system of voting that came about because of slavery. It's time to rid ourselves of the EC. Way past time actually. We are not a democracy at all.

@BluesHarp

I see you have zero understanding of how the EC works. The Electoral College is a fact until a constitutional amendment is passed getting rid of it. I'll let you research how that happens but I'll give you a hint: it won't.

First of all Colorado is one of the only states that migration has turned Blue therefore demonstrating the power that migration can produce in Swing States if, as our plan explains, Democratic Party voters LEAVE Red States and move to them.

@BlueWall
I perfectly understand how the EC works. I also perfectly understand its history and you should do some research if you don't understand that. It came from slavery. Plain and simple. I don't vote in presidential elections because my vote has not mattered once in the past 20 years.

Do you even understand that there would be no "swing states" if it were not for the EC. The EC divides us into this state against state mentality. So stupid!

@BluesHarp

omigod

See folks? I can't even propose this powerful strategy to young folks because all they want to do is stamp their feet about reality.

Hey bud just keep voting in Colorado!

@BlueWall
Hey bud, maybe you shouldn't tell other people how to live their lives. And BTW, I am 63 years old.

Do you not understand that the EC discriminates against urban minorities in favor of rural whites? Look up the statistics. Almsot 90% of the people who voted for Donnie Numbnuts in 2016 were white. I can back that up with proof if you need it.

Slavery no longer exists. Why do we still use a system of voting for president that came from those days?

@BluesHarp

The Electoral College is a fact. And any attempt to circumvent it will be unanimously shot down by SCOTUS.

The undemocratic nature of not only the EC, but also the Senate, lifetime judicial appointments, presidential pardons, limiting the House to 435 members, etc, is IRRELEVANT regarding the way power is attained right now!

If you think things are undemocratic now, just wait until Trump expands SCOTUS in his next term.

I post for people who don't want that to happen!

@BlueWall
I don't want that to happen but there isn't much that I can do. If Donnie Numbnuts "wins" again, it will most likely not be because he got a majority of votes. And yes, our political system is very corrupt, top to bottom. I have pretty much given up at this point in time because unless people are really going to go out and try to change the system, we will continue to get poor candidates like the old man vs. the con man.

We all need to protest for change!

@BluesHarp

The best way to protest is for all those currently marching around Milwaukee to get apartments together and register to vote in the powerful Swing State of Wisconsin

@BlueWall
Do you honestly believe that people are just going to abandon their lives so that they can move to swing states? Do you know how expensive moving is? Not only that it would require quitting jobs and finding a new place to live. That is just not feasible at all.

@BluesHarp

With remote working technologies and cars and freeways it's pretty easy, compared to the millions of poor black folks who moved with none of those things and no money in the early 20th century, voted and gave us all the civil rights era. Have you thanked them?

28 million households move every year, 5-6 million across state lines. Quite a few people are taking advantage of these modern abilities to simply move out of expensive regions.

Conservatives are largely moving South

@BluesHarp

Grumpy old bastards moving South, leaves the Great Lakes region, home to three powerful Swing States, and climate change resilience, affordable costs of living,and ample supplies of water, a no brainier way to protect liberal democracy.

These states in this region also have critical Senate races. How lucky is that?

@BlueWall
The Supreme Court should be presented with a case that says that the EC violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution, because that is true. Unfortunately the existence of the EC also comes from the Constitution so there is an internal conflict (inconsistency) in the Constitution. Something that just does not smell right at all.

@BluesHarp

And there's nothing to be done until they die off and we can get some constitutional amendments going.
