Oh my god, that parking lot is 2 times the size of the actual park itself. How can anyone look at that and think “yes, this is good”?

So there’s a couple things at play here.

  • The post is kind of BS since that whole area isn’t just SeaWorld’s parking lot (see other comments for more info).
  • The amount of parking spots a business must have is regulated. On average it’s about 4 parking spots for every 1000 sqft. SeaWorld Orlando is 200 acres. That’s a lot of parking spots they’re required to have. I agree it definitely ends up being a TON of parking spots most businesses don’t need, but it’s not the business’s fault.
  • No matter whose fault it is. It’s a monstrosity. Living in the Netherlands, I don’t think I’ve ever come across such a big parking space. It’s incredible it’s not structured the other way around: there should be a limit to how much parking space you’re allowed to have. You can assume there will be a lot of traffic going to such a park, just put up some public transport infrastructure.
Pub lictran sport…? I’ve never heard of this sport. It’s not played in the United States.
