CNN is talking about how “the GOP tone has changed towards unity” and I’m going to scream.
This is the Project 2025 party hell bent on purging anyone not a devout Trump sycophant. Their idea of “unity” is capitulation to MAGA extremism. Rather than calling that out, or calling out the history of Trump inciting political violence, or even acknowledging this is lip service—CNN keeps talking about the changed tone of unity. 😐
Legacy media continues to fail Americans.
That's because the media is wholeheartedly in on it, too. Their job is to prevent uprisings, period. And they will enable fascists to make that happen.
@QasimRashid Political journalism is a form of genre fiction, and if you expect it to be otherwise you will suffer shock after shock.
OTOH, if you accept that it is a genre of fiction, then you can learn to recognize the formulas. And you can also call bullshit on journalism academics, since they MUST be teaching this genre, whether or not they realize themselves it is formulaic fiction.
