Wolfgang StiefKennt jemand von euch ein Museum in Deutschland oder dem angrenzenden Ausland, dass sich (auch) mit Video-Equipment aus den 1970ern bis 1990ern beschäftigt, mit Schwerpunkt TV/Broadcast? Ich würde gerne die Sorte Technik studieren, die man in TV-Studios und in TV-Produktionen nutzte, BEVOR der PC dort überall einzog für grafische Elemente und Videoschnitt. Ich bin ausdrücklich auch an Digitaltechnik aus der Zeit interessiert, es gab da ja auch allerlei teure Spezialhardware.

Mike Knell@gabe @stiefkind I swear I visited a postal museum somewhere in Germany that had a fairly large television gallery. Damned if I can remember where. Other than that, the Deutsches Museum is an obvious candidate. I can certainly provide pointers to resources around British TV from that time, and much of the equipment was similar.
@m @gabe Maybe one of the Museum für Kommunikation. They run museums in Berlin, Frankfurt, Nürnberg. I don't know any of them. I know Deutsches Museum pretty well, though. They have some artefacts of interest, but this particular exhibition is currently closed due to reconstruction and reorganization of the entire museum.
