And now, the entire American left will clutch pearls as hard as possible, pretend to take the “high road” and completely ignore the fact that DONALD FUCKING TRUMP HAS BEEN INCITING POLITICAL VIOLENCE FOR YEARS.

It doesn’t matter what the details are. HE MADE THIS.

This concludes my Ted talk.

@shoq thanks for tedtalking and yes to all you said 😬
@shoq I hear you, but this probably just won him the election, an innocent person is dead, and the shooter likely just signed the death warrants for who knows how many more innocent people perceived to be MAGA enemies. There will be retaliation, and sadly—once the violence spiral accelerates, it almost doesn’t matter who started it. (He also just got a *lot* more dangerous.)
@Rocketsredglare Nah. If anything, this will trigger more stories about Trump inciting violence that most of his pin head supporters have never heard. It may well be a good thing, in the end, in terms if the election, anyway. Innocent death is always tragic. It's his fault.
@shoq Respectfully disagree. This just supercharged his “dangerous left” narrative and opens a permission structure for vigilantism (now) & violent repression (post-election), it will cow the press into treating him with kid gloves for the foreseeable future, all Project 2025 talk goes silent, they now have at least one actual martyr to parade around who wasn’t killed during the commission of a crime. This is the worst possible outcome, no matter who’s fault it is.
@Rocketsredglare @shoq this is the truth of it. this will boost him and i fear we are all so very doomed as a result.

@shoq

Yup, spot on.

I partially agree with the high roaders but it really would have destroyed the Trump campaign if that bullet hit its mark. He only cares about himself, he's only in it for the money.

Just IMAGINE the subsequent chum that bullet would have put into the water. There would have been naked Republicans coming up for air SCREAMING that they were now the Chosen One.

That said, and regardless of whether it's a false flag, it's better if the US has its deciding moment at the polls
