Breakaway Knot (A Knot that is Intended to Fail)

I make phone cases and flashlight straps to go around my neck, but I don't want to be garroted if they catch on something. I thought, "There has to be a knot for this situation." There seems to be very little info out there. So here is my offering... 🙂

Basically a double-overhand knot with a loop cinched inside. The loop bunches up as it is pulled into the knot yielding a "stop" just before it completely fails. Note: blue tape indicates the "loop" working and standing parts.
