Speaking of overly complicated processes for deleting accounts, apparently the workflow for closing old OpenDNS accounts, now they've been bought out by Cisco, is to:

1. Open a support ticket and ask for a deletion.

2. Wait for the support guy to reply back to you,

3. Open that email, and
while that email is open log back into the OpenDNS dashboard.

4. Reply to the email with, like. "Yes I really mean it" while the dashboard is still open.

5. Hope that works, I guess?

And, like... um. Did no-one do
any user testing on this, like. At all?
I've been trying to think of how you'd do this in a way that *didn't* involve embedding creepy-ass tracking pixels into the email in some way and... I guess by timestamp of the sent email versus the dashboard login event?

But, like. Come
on.
This is from extracting the HTML portion of the email and opening it directly in a browser. I know it isn't quite this straightforward in an email client (thankfully) but... still. I have, in the past, known people who simply refused to accept HTML-based email and, like. Maybe they had a point...
