whenever any furry convention happens, be sure to watch out for CONVENTION ORGANIZATION "PROFESSIONALS" who DON'T VOLUNTEER FOR STAFF POSITIONS but are ALWAYS WILLING TO SHARE THEIR OPINIONS ON HOW TO FIX EVERYTHING. you will find at LEAST five in the group chats. like clockwork.

#Furry #FurryCon

@chirpbirb my experience on Friday morning was pretty alright. 2 hours of wait and once I was at the table, it was less than 2 minutes of working with the person.

With how many people I saw digging in bags and talking to the registration people, I can’t help but wonder if they weren’t prepared or hadn’t done the registration in line.

Again, my first con so I’m a terrible person to be giving input on it all!

@EricMalves we preregistered, so our wait time was less than an hour. we also picked our stuff up on Friday, so we didn't get the full LineCon experience. I believe we're looking into options to alleviate that for next year, but we're all still recovering ROFL

@chirpbirb @EricMalves I tried on Wed and Thurs and it was a disaster.

I don't know why they don't make Wed+Thurs entirely pre-reg only days, or at least Weds. Would be nice to keep the at-the-door reg way more separated from the lines. Or have them more separated so the lines don't end up mixed together.
Also doesn't FWA do mail-home reg? Thought I heard that.

@colinstu @EricMalves its an extra cost; we'd have to figure out either a volunteer effort or a mailing partner to get it done. most likely we'll discuss it during the staff wrap up we'll have in a few weeks once we're all settled

@chirpbirb @colinstu hopefully a good solution can be found. I can imagine the stress registration causes staff.

Would be neat to handle it like a cruise where your stuff is in your room when you check in, but that’s probably its own world of issues!

I wouldn’t be against putting some volunteer time in next year to try and help get more hands registering folks.
