Imagine if the president called repeatedly the US Attorney General trying to weaponize the DOJ, by demanding an investigation into a political rival's child, to the point that the AG had to yell at the president that it was wrong to have that conversation.

Oh wait, that happened. And it was Bill Barr, yelling at Trump, who was pushing Barr to investigate Hunter Biden. As all laid out in Barr's book.

@jciv @emptywheel And in book two, the Supreme Court says “Eh. It’s fine.”
@jciv @emptywheel brings to mind this quote: “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors… and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

it's almost impossible to trust anything that any of them say, or write.
@BradKarch @jciv @emptywheel Agreed. I would be very hesitant to use a book by Bill Barr as evidence for anything.
