@glynmoody I do hope Labour find a way to complete more of HS2, at least to Manchester (all the way to Andy Burnham, not just Andy Street).

Perhaps better integrated with Northern Powerhouse Rail?

@glynmoody It will help that it's a part of the country that Labour cares about and needs to retain politically. The desire will be there, now to make the numbers work.

Perhaps rebranding it as ‘relieving the WCML’ will help too. HS2 should never have been branded as HS2 until it was completed.
