Question for Chicago-area carnivores:

Is it even possible to buy a whole turkey outside the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons? Everywhere that I normally shop doesn't carry turkeys except at those two times. I would drive for turkey. Please advise.

@kfogel Have you tried your local farmer's market? Usually, you can order and pick them up at the market. Though, not sure if they raise them for now. Or https://www.homesteadmeatsevanston.com/ call them and see if you can order ahead.

@kfogel I prepared thanksgiving dinner out of the season because my friend came from Japan and wanted to experience it. I could get the whole turkey then in Chicago. I am sure you can find one.
