There is a moment when you see not merely what the next generation of scientists look like, but what the next generation of leaders looks like. And there, on the right.

@ShorterPearson I led tutor/mentor program in Chicago from 1975 - 2011 that connected adult volunteers with inner city youth, as tutors, mentors, etc. My work now focuses on ways to help more such programs grow in places where needed, and ways the people in programs can learn from each other in effort to constantly improve. I feel that people who have been involved are most likely to support others getting involved. Making connections difficult.
