@SehrLesbisch So yes, I brought with me three versions of my gryphon (the realistic one in the photo, a toony one, & a MagpieBones LARP mask one) because I wanted to be accommodating to however the bird reacts to various levels of realism.
That bird was absolutely intimidated by me, as expected, & not comfortable being approached with the realistic mask on. So he was hooded for my encounter & that allowed me to use any of the masks I wanted.
@andraconix that's so interesting! really makes me reconsider making a cosmetic beak cover for my masks if it could scare my birds tbh
