Right, everyone. <grin>

It's me again. Over the last 3 or so weeks, a total of 4 other people, apart from me, have been actively posting on this system. The total number of new, public posts does not exceed 10 posts... This kind of defies the need for nudie.social.

This is a bit of a sad amount when I consider Rene's comment that this instance is "a compelling alternative for those of us creating content that we would like to see shared on event more strict instances."

Yes, it is, but it's not used at all. Look at SydneyJim on mastodon.social, using the CW tag. He posts LOTS of nude stuff, without a problem. This kind of defies the need for nudie.social.

Of the (according to admin panel) 290 active users, there are 6 active accounts. 2 of them are mine (naknudnat is mine too).

I understand someone's reluctance to leave this place if they've been here since the start, but from various other instances with more life, you can interact with everyone you do as well.

Looking at the time I've already spent, trying to tune the database, for close to no 'action' here... that's not what I had expected when I took over.

@paulzwalker thanks again for all you do, Paul. Are you able to tell if the 290 accounts are actively signing in, or are they in fact completely dormant? Either way,
given the data, I will understand if you decide to shut down. I’ve been a little quiet on posting fresh ChooseNudes lately due to my daughter borrowing the iPad for school work.

I didn't check all of them, but about 50. Some of them have 1 post, from the month they joined. Most of them have no posts, no followers and don't follow anyone. Those accounts are just there, beyond dormant. They're petrified and unused.

This morning I made a choice to keep the instance up for some more time, to see if things pick up, but if even you, one of the more frequent posters, say this, I will actually reconsider the reconsideration.

I've already looked at ways to migrate to another server, like mastodon.social, and it can be done quite painlessly. Just open an account there, and leave a forwarding address on this system. Before doing that, through the settings, you can export all your followers, blocks and mutes to separate files, and add those on the new account, if they don't auto-follow you there. (Mastodon has no import option, like this Akkoma system has, which surprised me.)

With only 3 or 4 others posting here, next to me, it's a bit...  to keep the machines running...

@paulzwalker I’ve been doing the ChooseNudes on the iPad since last year. Prior to that, I was sketching on paper and importing into InkScape, where I would trace with a spline. Basically, the colour ones are iPad and the line drawings are InkScape. When I took on the daily drawing last fall, I had to find a way to accelerate the process. Naturism is not my main pastime (which is model railroading), and so I have to be economical with my time.

@renudist I think the time issue goes for almost everyone. Railroad models are amazing. I know a few people who do that, and they create stunning scenes!

@renudist That's a SCENE? At first I thought you posted a vacation photo. That's very good, you should definitely be pleased with how it came out.
