"IED Explosion Damages Patrol Vehicle

Around 2AM today (7/4/24) a BPD patrol officer was responding to a disturbance in north Beaverton. While driving along 158th Ave. the officer observed a flash and heard an explosion, resulting in the loss of the passenger window of his patrol vehicle and damage to the door. The officer suffered minor injuries.

An investigation showed an Improvised Explosive Device caused the damage. Officers were not able to locate the suspect who made or deployed the device."
