Last spring, hardly at all. But why?
Today, with temperatures around 0°C overnight and spring still weeks away, the plane tree is being swarmed by a flock of Galahs. They're picking-over the seed pods, presumably to get to the seeds, and scattering plane tree "snow" far and wide. The galahs look happy, and I'll be grateful if they prevent another bout of allergies this coming spring.
