Good grief, journalists, stop calling the Supreme Court's six right-wing Republican apparatchiks mere "conservatives" --

They are extremists by any definition of the word, but your lazy language provides a fig leaf that only makes you look like saps.

@dangillmor terrorists, some might say
@dangillmor maybe it's an autocomplete error when they type 'criminal'
@dangillmor You can call it whatever you want but its not justice…
@dangillmor there are no conservatives in American politics and haven't been for a decade. Only Republicans.
@dangillmor
I have to think there are journalists who *are* writing clearly and urgently about the present situation. It would seem the most recognized media outlets simply aren't publishing them (or are editing them into porridge) because they've capitalized so heavily on placating elite right-wing interests that they no longer have any incentive to be impartial—only to *appear* impartial to readers who hold white supremacist fascism and liberal centrism to be morally equivalent.
@dangillmor Someone made the point that 3 of them were GOP operatives for Bush. "GOP operatives" seems like the essential point, regardless of their personal ideologies.
@dangillmor we need a new term for the court. I don't think it deserves the title of Supreme Court anymore.
@Jennifer @dangillmor Burrito Supreme Court
@binaryequation @dangillmor we need to leave off "Supreme." We also need a new term for Trump supporter "justices."
@dangillmor I saw a Spectator poll that had public responses to ruling at 50-50 approval--disapproval.
