Trump ran by far the most corrupt presidency in American history. He -- and the people he appointed to federal jobs -- used their offices to enrich themselves and their corrupt friends, and abused their powers in countless ways.

(Our feckless press never even tried to explain how broad and deep the corruption ran.)

Now, with immunity, it's almost unimaginable what a new Trump world in Washington (and beyond) would do.

Imagine the absolute worst, and expand on that. You'll be close.

@dangillmor I know the court has gone insane and granted the president immunity from prosecution from almost any illegal act, but presumably that immunity does not (at present) apply to those who would actually *execute* those acts. In other words, the president could ask for a political opponent to be sent to Gitmo, but whoever *acts* on that doesn’t have immunity — one generally can’t claim “just following orders” as a defence for illegal activity.
@michaelgemar Presidential pardon takes care of that.
@dangillmor Unless any state laws are violated.
