My system will focuses on storytelling gameplay with innovative mechanics for immersive world-building and player choices. Set in the Fantasy/steampunk world of Aliriel, it offers flexible character development and engaging interactions. Character creation is a classless skill system. The magic system involves learning spells with mental strain reflected in Insanity Points (IP) costs. #Talespire #RPG #Fantasy #Steampunk #Aliriel
@Ramases Sounds interesting! Can I ask if this is a Powered by the Apocalypse-style system?
@enfors My own D20 style system but I take inspiration from things I like such as Cypher and Burning wheel. I focus on storytelling and its a classless system where you have skills instead.
@enfors I wanted something besides D&D that fit my lore and playstyle. Think of playing an open world game like Skyrim but in table top form. It has some crunch (rules to learn) yet I want it to be easy to learn and play for new and advanced players and GMs
@Ramases That's awesome. I'm doing something similar myself - focus on sandbox and hexcrawls, skills instead of classes, etc. Except I use 2d10 instead of 1d20. Also, I want good support for #SoloRPG play.
@enfors Thanks for the chat and nice to meet you. Yeah I thank your TTRPG sounds cool so far! What's the thing that will set your TTRPG apart from others & what genre is it? Mine high-fantasy, steampunk, and tribal. Mine would be focus on storytelling and characters, accessibility, and mechanics such as my magic system, where GMs and players can make their own spells yet I keep it balanced.
@enfors You gave me an idea. I added rules for #soloRPG if you want based on Mystic 2e oracle system. I focus more on group play but realize many may not have others to join them. Thanks!
