Yogthos@toussaint it's simple, the primary goal is to make sure that the donors are happy. If dems lose with a terrible candidate that the donors like, there are zero repercussions for them because the public has no way to hold them accountable.
However, if they won on a platform that people actually want, but upsets the donors then they lose their money.
