Hello to Infosec Exchange. This is my new 'professional' account... so I guess I'll start with a question or two.

Who is good to follow here? Do you do follow friday?

Linux desktop users, are there any good native clients or do you keep it simple and use web browsers?

And finally, are there any unwritten rules here that I should be aware of before I get too comfortable? 😀

@antonyh I don't bother with a native client, but I do mostly use https://elk.zone/ instead of the main interface. It would probably work well as a PWA, but I don't need Mastodon in my launcher.

Side note: Weird synchronicity that I've found need to mention it two replies in a row now, possibly the first two times ever?

If I were just a *little* more infosec-focused and a little less of an unhinged/unpredictable whatever poster y'all would probably be my home instance.

@joby @varbin that might be the deal breaker for me too, but the welcome has been toasty warm which is a great sign. I posted a similar message on another instance to try the water and got zero, total radio silence. I'll take unhinged and chatty over non-responsive any day of the week
