HEY, TORONTO FOLKS

You should know that revuecinema.ca is, tomorrow (Friday) at 6:30 PM, showing "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" (1984) on their big screen. This is the first original film directed by Hayao Miyazaki (based on a manga he wrote), and is often considered the "first Ghibli film" because so much of what became Ghibli worked on it. And it's incredible, and gorgeous, and *so weird*.

Also:
- Run Lola Run on Saturday
- Nausicaä again on Sunday… dubbed :/

I want to go to this so bad but I'm going to Trans Pride at that exact time *_* I was like I've lived in this city for years and never gone to Pride, this year I'm gonna do it. And so now I'm not backing out even if it's to see ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES
Also, uh, you might need to be a real devotee of Canadian cinema to even know what I'm talking about here, but… tonight, *three hours from now* the Revue is doing a special screening of Bruce McDonald's epic "Roadkill" (1989), a movie about why you should never be in a band. And they're going to have Valerie Buhagiar *and* Don McKellar there for a Q&A. You know? Don McKellar? Last Night? Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
@mcc yes, pretty sure I saw that at least once on VHS, very cool Q&A!
