“…Hartwin. Gerald Hartwin. Married to a woman named Miriam. Both associates to the Luthor family.”

Clark began searching through records, trying to solve as much as he can of this mystery

“Gerald has his own research company, Hartwin Labs, before being bought out by LexCorp. Hartwin Labs seemed to specialize in…genetic research?”

he began looking up information on the child of the Hartwins

“…??? This…this is interesting…”

Clark stared at an old newspaper clipping of the Hartwins, with -c-

-c- a young teenage girl stands between them

“Pictured above. Hartwin Labs founder Gerald, with his wife Miriam, and their child Caroline…Caroline?”

Clark stared at the photo in confusion. Conner said the name was Clementine. Did he make a mistake? Clark looked at the date of the newspaper article in silence

“…there is certainly something much bigger going on here…”

Clark began looking into Clementine, finding photos of her as a young child.

“She…she’s a dead ringer for this ‘Caroline.’ But they can’t possibly be the same person. Did Clementine have a sister?”

Clark kept searching, finding birth records for Clementine, dated after the photo of Caroline Hartwin. Clark searched for records of Caroline, but found nothing. Almost as if she had been erased from all records

“…Maybe the folks who grew up around the Hartwins will have more answers.”

He -c-

-c- grabbed his notepad and recorder and flew off, quickly landing in the woods of a small town.

It’s time to start asking questions
