Tinned Fish Diary ~ Summer 2024 Edition!

My kids brought me a beautiful gift from Porto! This calls for a fresh thread. ๐Ÿ˜„

The illustration on this tin! I love the yellow streetcar.

These lightly-smoked sardines had the best smokiness of any I've ever tasted. They were spicy in the best way. And the texture was so perfect!

Check out these antique sardine dishes! The porcelain box shape is the perfect fit for a tin. Apparently tinned fish were served straight from the tins, set inside these dishes.
I happened upon them today.
They are very old.

The tiny jar of sardine pรขtรฉ with lemon...
Why is it so small?! ๐Ÿ˜ข 1.5 inch diameter
Delicious. A pretty pronounced fish flavor (with enough lemon for me and I love lemon!) and a cloud-like texture ๐Ÿ˜‹
