signalman@mona as the developer has seemed to want to change this app to something silly, is there a Mastadon app that will just list my preferred instance time line without having to navigate all this crap on here now? I dont want traction, i dont specifically want news, i just want to read the people i have listed.i am not a power user but just like to open, tap once on refresh and read. all this has gone, or so it seems.
@signalman I just use the native ios app for mastodon. It's always been more than sufficient for my needs, and it's free, so you can't beat that.

@signalman Are you just looking to have a list of what you and those you follow have posted? Or do you mean when you explore other instances? Equally if you don’t want the option to explore you could remove that from the tab bar if you liked. Sorry to throw out more questions which may seem overwhelming, just looking to help. ☺️
@mkdjy12 hi, not a problem. in the previous Mona, when I opened the app, it would open on the posts of that current Instance. it would update and i would just be able to start reading fromt the top. now i get 10 options for reading by hash tags, federated, news and so on. when I had tapped Local, i kept getting old old posts. weird. I may have worked out the system but it is not as easy as before when we just had our Communities TAB. i prefer that format. i dont like the option for searching Instances as I am not one of those types who want to wade my way through tons of tosh. just my three Instances and I might go one more if I can find something on australian Railways. thanks again for responding.
