Many of the doomers on Mastodon have most likely blocked me since they don't like to hear how much they help hinder #ClimateAction so too bad they won't see this graph since these predictions may have been what made them into doomers.

The past decade has seen remarkable progress and growth in cleantech. Cleantech costs have fallen by up to 80 percent, while investment is up nearly 10 times and solar generation has risen 12 times.

The pace of deployment is stunning, but yeah let's go faster!

@GreenFire The repeated utterly wrong predictions that solar deployment was going to stop at the current rate are particularly hilarious.
@CurtAdams
I wonder what all those professional predictors are getting paid to do now?
@GreenFire They're being paid to make the same stupid predictions, per your graphs.
@CurtAdams
Rocky Mountain Institute that made that graph has also made a nice short #AheadOfTheCurve video that makes the same case.

Just saw this too.

I like how @TheEconomist did an homage to Kubrick with this cover picture for a story on the growth of solar in this month's issue.

@GreenFire @CurtAdams @TheEconomist I'll need to grab that issue. Thanks for the heads up.
