author_is_neito@fredrin Reading my omnibuses a few years ago, I noted with some humor that at the time, the Excel Saga references were "mainstream otakudom", while the Key references were, for lack of a better term, author self-indulgence. Now it's reversed.
@fredrin I remember when Tsukihime and Wind getting fan translations was some watershed moment in VNs. Now, one of the most popular horror games on the internet is a VN and I can play Clannad on my Steam Deck. Time makes fools of us all.
(I actually tried to get into VNs around '06 or so because of Piro, ngl)
