Should there be a penalty for Highways Officers who post false alarms? e.g ten miles of repeated warnings “Incident: Slow Down” “60 Slow Down” finally followed by “End”.
There clearly wasn’t an incident. We all know what happened to the little boy who called “Wolf”. Only in this instance it’s the motorway drivers whose lives are put at risk by the false alarms.
