I'm canceling my #SavageFenty subscription because it's a lot of money, and I always mean to skip months and then forget, and I really, really can't afford to keep doing that.

I just used up all the member credits I accumulated over months of forgetting to skip, so I do have a bunch of sexy new lounge wear that I love.

It has me thinking about my earliest experiences buying lingerie up to now.

The experience is much better with a brand like Savage Fenty where the assumption is that the shopper is buying lingerie for themselves because it's what they want than it is with Victoria's Secret which always seems to be either about men buying stuff for women or women buying stuff to wear "for their man".

It may largely be a function of the shift in earning power, where women are now assumed to purchase things for themselves with their own money, making Victoria's Secret's brand feel more and more obsolete with every passing year.

But it is nicer to buy nice, sexy things that are for *you*, not for whoever you might be wearing them around.
