@likelyjanlukas Well, at least they're issuing the warning tonight. @bowreality (outside Calgary) got hit this morning.
(I don't expect to need to worry too much in the city proper, but with the forecast lows I have been holding off on taking basil & watermelon & few other remaining seedlings outside.)
Ack! I'm sorry to hear some folks were caught already! ☹️
And yeah, Edmonton's heat island effect can be handy when things are just on the edge of too cold, but I wish we didn't have that effect at all.

I'm not personally complaining about the cooler summer so far--I've been anxious about the next heat wave ever since the wrap up of the summer of hell in 2023.
