It's becoming more and more obvious that the Bezos people didn't do anything close to proper due diligence before they hired a former Murdoch apparatchik to be CEO of the Washington Post.

The NYT's story this weekend shows clearly that Will Lewis -- and the editor he selected -- weren't cleaning up the rot inside the Murdoch empire, as they'd claimed.

They were part of it.
