So, I like visual novels, and tend to play mostly indi ones (like most of the games I play).
Some weeks ago, I started Bustafellows because it was on sale, liked it so far, the budget clearly shows.

Yesterday my love interest slapped me in the face.

And it never got mentioned again in the play through.
It just happened...and everyone, exept me, was okay with this.

How...how is this (still) a thing in an otome?
Like...wtf?

@Schiraki Yeah, VNs and video game romances in general can be wild at times.
A while ago, I played #BoyfriendDungeon, which is a wonderful game I absolutely recommend. One of the possible love interests keeps secrets and lies to you to protect them while you're dating. I was fully prepared to gain his trust and get him to open up about his deep dark secret to win him over, until the game finally hit me over the head saying "THIS IS A RED FLAG, DUMMY!"
So I took a step back and reexamined a couple of previous video game romances and... maybe they were not entirely healthy.

@Teskariel I love Boyfriend Dungeon! I have not completed all the routes but it felt very safe and friendly (I think I know which character you are talking about ;) and yeah...he has a red flag parade following him).
And I have played "When the night comes" some weeks ago and the vives felt similar.

Maybe, with good games like this, we get more sensitive for things like this?

#BoyFriendDungeon #WhenTheNightComes

@Schiraki I just looked up When The Night Comes and... am I the only one who finds something about this character design weird?
@Teskariel No, the four ears are...well, a choice I guess. XD
But he is a lovely dude.
