Reading the TIM file spec (assets and textures for PS1) and each documented game seems to be implementing a slightly different version of it, love it 


anyway so either I fucked up writing the extractor or the 1998 guilty gear ROM has a 50MiB DUMMY.CDA file that contains the same asset over and over, 395 times.
which one will it be 
so dummy files in PSX games are a thing, I should have googled better 
Most PSX discs have huge zerofilled dummy files with about 32Mbytes, using filenames like DUMMY, NUL, NULL, or ZNULL, this is probably done to tweak the disc to have valid sector numbers at the end of disc (to help the drive head to know which sector it is on).
