Hey #SteamNextFest peeps, I would like to send some love to "Mithra".
An absolutely incredible adventure game, with great puzzles, amazing writing, and it nails that cyberpunk-ish atmosphere. It gets a little surreal, too.
It doesn't seem to have a lot of players but imo it'd be a shame to miss out on it!

It does require a controller, though, so do be mindful of that.

Steam:Mithra

A cryptic narrative adventure game that blurs the line between fiction and reality. A tale of cultish affairs that sweeps through the nighttime streets of London, weaves through the back alleys of Beijing and beyond. Come with us.

Continuing the thread with the demos that I played.

Next up: The Alters

Looks stunning and runs wonderfully! It's a loop/base building game, located on an alien planet. You have to collect resources and make clones of yourself to help you with your goal. All of your other crew members have mysteriously died...

Ngl I got stuck at a place where a lot of other people got stuck because something isn't explained well, but hopefully they'll fix it because it's plays well otherwise.

Nose: Breathing Rebellion is the strangest demo I've played.

It feels very old school, similar to Abe's Odyssey. A mix of action platformer and solving puzzles (mainly the slightly tedious memory games). It's fully voiced in Spanish, and based on Gogol's "The Nose". A super surreal experience!

Looped - an intriguing adventure game about love, time travel, and building a rocket ship at home.

I really liked this one. It's short, there's no text, you just have to figure out what to click to progress the story. Really endearing in motion.

I'll Be Brave, Tomorrow is a two-part game.

Made in collaboration with a children's hospital, the first part is in 3D and follows the story of Robyn, a child who has to stay at the hospital for yet unknown reasons. The second part is the 8-bit platformer starring the bird Robin who's looking for their family. The gameplay switches between the two as the story progresses.

There are more mini-games as Robyn's room fills up with toys. 50% of the game's sales goes to charity.

Rose Cottage up next.

Honestly... it has all of the elements that I love: the Victorian setting, a nicely voiced character, it looks beautiful. You're supposed to find why three mortuary assistants have all gone missing. It's gothic! It's intriguing!

...but I found the game a little bit dull, slow and tedious to play. There's very few hotspots and the dialogue isn't all that engaging. Didn't get to the very end of the demo.

Things Too Ugly - now that was an interesting puzzle game!

It kinda throws you right into the deep end and you have to explore around your desk to figure out how to log into your computer. It's a rather short demo, but a decent head-scratcher. Recommended!

Daymare Town - apparently, this is a remaster of an older flash game. This was my first time playing it.

It's a true point and click, done in a rather simple style and with very little text. It's all about finding objects and puzzling your way out. Some items are a little difficult to find and the passages aren't always marked clearly. I had a lot of fun with it, though!

@dona The creator, Mateusz Skutnik, created a legendary point and click adventure series, Submachine, and recently remastered all the original Flash games. He really flexes his architecture skills in his illustrations.
