@Watergypsy I think the problem is mass/momentum. You need enough to be active at the same time to make it worthwile to be here rather than twitter. I will say that there’s also a few quirks that makes this place a bit more difficult to use than bluesky, which is much more similar to twitter. Not so much for interactions within our server though.
@load_dependent if there was activity like today regularly it could probably grow, but unfortunately today was an exception rather than the norm.
Some of the quirks have improved as they have introduced things like the improved search, but even a little friction is often too much.
