🔥 Tom Swift 🔥@upgrade I'm also quite critical of that. It should be reasonably possible for Apple to limit these images to the owner, although this cannot work 100%. But proactively giving this option to create such images of other people doesn't fit Apple.

When the AI tools that come out to make people into superheroes, or fantasy characters, or high school students, etc, a bunch of people jump on them. I think these features play to that type of person.
Jason Martin@upgrade I don’t disagree with your perspective about the AI image generation, but I’m a bit surprised by your surprise. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing Apple believes (rightfully or wrongfully) is like candy to the 90% users.
Most users don’t think deeply about this sort of thing, and I think they just want to have fun. Again, Apple might be wrong, but they clearly think the 90% will find this fun. So with Apple fully diving into AI, this should be completely expected, for better or worse.
