This AP tweet is an instant candidate for the Museum of American Fascism. Carve it in stone and put it over the entrance. It should be an enduring source of burning shame and embarrassment for the entire organization, as well as a warning to other media.

Folks should listen to Rachel Maddow's Ultra podcast for a similarly eerie discussion about the domestic push for Nazism in the United States prior to, and during, World War Two.

The push involved two dozen pro-Nazi sympathizing congressmen with direct ties to the German government.

Plus, she's an excellent storyteller.
