Resume a track on ELEMNT BOLT - tchncs

Hello, I have an ELEMNT BOLT V2 GPS BICYCLE COMPUTER [https://de-eu.wahoofitness.com/devices/bike-computers/elemnt-bolt-buy]. Now I’m planning a longer bike tour with breaks. The bike computer stays on. Can you turn off the bolt to save power and then reactivate it to continue recording? Best regards

I find it takes a million years to pair every time I turn it on Sometimes when I expect to see the map I can’t see it! I’m a total amateur…

I don’t have bolt but basic Sigma computer and it is possible so I would think that it is possible with more features rich device.

I think so too, but I can’t find everything. After using the device for a while now, I think I would have been better off buying a Sigma Rox 11.1. It’s easy to use.

It does continue your workout when you turn off and on the device, within a certain time window. I thought it was a couple of hours. Just be wary not to stop the activity after pausing.

I do find the bolt loses the cycling category when doing this, it defaults to ‘other’. It is not a mega concern, all metrics are still present.

The custom maps community for wahoo is very strong. They update maps using OSM data more frequently then wahoo. You can download maps here and the you push it to your device with an app called Elemantary. Find the read me in that onedrive folder.

  • turn on the device, leave it unplugged.
  • push power + up + down
  • connect to the computer and refresh

It might not go in one try. it took me three times before I got it.
