No, but it's a really good question.
My theory here:
- it jammed itself into a narrow space between the chair and the table leg so…
- since it can't turn, it's doggedly trying to escape by repeatedly going forward…
- which means it's now trying to climb over cords and cables that…
- makes it lose traction and think it's actually moving somewhere in that straight line of approximately its own width.
Does that make any sense?

Right, yeah. This is my old s9+, and I used to be very studious about reviewing obstacles, but until I'm done with my current purge, it wouldn't be that useful.
Also, just for you, MT: fwiw, ChatGPT is a good outboard brain for the dinguses in you life, which then also makes it really handy for stuff like future troubleshooting.
