I'm very curious. In the wake of Microsoft Recall, I've seen a fair few people say they are going to or have switched to Linux.

If you have switched to Linux or tried Linux in recent history, let me know: did Recall motivate you to switch or not?

@daedalouseros I have been using linux since about 96 professionally. Messed around with desktop #linux a bit but mainly used MacOS and Windows 10/11. I have migrated to #ubuntu fully and have no Windows box. I'm not a power user. Everything out of the box is working. I used AceMoneyLIght for checkbook and switched to GNUCash. Libre Office is working well. Rhythmbox and Shotwell work too. Only issue is Diablo IV, but I have suggestions on how to get that running. I'm happy overall.

@sumo I might suggest checking ProtonDB if you haven't yet. Even if you run the game through Lutris or some other program, you might find some suggestions from other folks on what version of WINE/Proton works best or other tweaks that improve the performance.

@daedalouseros thanks for the info. I haven’t played in a while so it is not a priority at all for me. Other than Diablo I’m a console gamer.
