What often gets me about the fedi is that there are enough resources to fund work in this space.

We know this because we see white creators hit and exceed crowdfunding goals regularly.

So, the fedi has the same problem most other platforms have.

It just doesn't like to give resources to creators that aren't white.

The fedi seems to pride itself on being ‘different’ from centralized platforms, but this is one aspect that shows those values have just been brought here.

@are0h have there been many fedi projects that have done crowdfunding drives?

I may have totally missed them, but I feel like I mostly see just Donate pages, where not much is donated monthly.

Like NLNet & NGI0 grants tend to fund a lot of the bigger stuff, but you need an EU based project representative for that, which is obviously a hurdle to overcome.

@thisismissem And here you come, always with something contrary to say based on what you see and not what is being said.

I didn't say anything about fedi projects specifically, and I don't live in Europe, so your comments are essentially useless.

I am very tired of your repeated attempts to reframe what I say based on your narrow view of the world.

I have no idea why you keep trying to do this when you know I don't care for your perspective, but you need to stop.
