For all the failings of American media since Trump came down that escalator, and there have been many, and they have been largely inexcusable/self-motivated, the one good thing those dipshits did was troll Trump about Bannon being the real president until he fired that greasy fuck. Cause Bannon's "welfare but just for right-thinking crackers" is a better pitch than Trumpism itself. Dude is dangerous.
(The tl;dr here is that Bannon wanted to cement Trump's 2016 win with a bunch of bribes for crackers akin to Hitler's baby bonus. Naturally, the rich maggots Trump works for didn't agree but Bannon was working on it because he's a historian of fascist political techniques and rhetoric. And lemme tell you, bribes work, Trump paying cash money for cracker support is a better pitch than "trickle-down white supremacy" even for racists. Thankfully Trump's ego wouldn't tolerate grand-advisor Bannon.)
